Hy 80 is a High Strength Steel. This quenched and tempered martensitic steels Ni-Cr-Mo alloy grades meet 80 ksi (552 Mpa) yield strength levels with a transverse dynamic tear test requirements at -40°F (-40°C) of 450 ft-lbs. (610J). Hy 80 is producted to 8 inches (203 mm) thick.
